The Cavalier should only need a bath every 2-4 weeks. However, brush the long silky hair of its ears, tail, stomach, and legs (known as feathering) two or three times a week to prevent matting or tangling checking behind the ears and where the leg meets the body as that is where they commonly form. Its medium-length, silky coat is not heavy enough that it requires hours of brushing, and it sheds dirt easily. The Cavalier is relatively easy to groom and is an average shedder. Our puppies are very well socialized, they are held, petted, and played with from the minute they arrive! We start the potty-training process at around 5 weeks, most of the time they will know how to go in and out of the doggy door, up and down stairs, etc. But we definitely take a lot of pictures of Wyatt! We have not taken family pictures in about 5 years.
